Parvati is the wife of  Shiva – the protector, the destroyer (of evil) and regenerator of the universe and all life.

Parvati embodies power, energy, nourishment, harmony, love, beauty, devotion, and motherhood. As the physical representation of Mahadevi, (see the Devi Mandala), she signifies the primordial power behind the creation of the universe. This Mandala's modern abstract design captures the essence of Parvati's attributes.

While experimenting with the limitless possibilities of fractal geometry, I found out that along the given axis of a 3d virtual model of the Julia or Mandelbrot set, the diagrammatic fractal iterations evolved into magnificent patterns that uncannily looks like Tibetan Thankga Mandalas.

Even the alcoves of the outer circles resemble the Bodhisattva designs. It is as if Buddhist monks could have experienced in the clarity of their focus such an unimaginable feat of abstract thinking.

A Mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe. In common use, "Mandala" has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe.A Thankga is a Tibetan Buddhist icon used as a meditation tool to help bring one further down the path to enlightenment .

As one of the earliest traditional painter to embrace the digital media, (Image de Synthese.) I work with professional imaging software, not as a medium to emulate techniques of the past, but to the contrary as a medium that  opens the door to new horizons of artistic expression by surpassing traditional techniques.

The digital media allows  limitless possibilities of color relationship and color subtleties which do not exist in traditional methods, that is why I often compose combine and bring forward my traditional work to be enhanced by the digital media.
